Local One stagehands have not struck before in their 121-year history. If this is happening now, it is not a good sign for us here in Boston... :/

Many of us here in NYC feel the responsibility to the rest of the IA locals and roadhouses throughout the country. Love us or hate us, we still feel that to whom much is given, much is expected and that's why we're fighting. If we start a race to the bottom, it will affect all the rest of the stage locals in the US.
We lost a stagehand on the picket line on Friday to a heart attack. That really created a sense of determination to see this through. It's not about money; it's about our dignity.
